Fig. 2. Surgical procedure for trans-scleral ciliary sulcus fixation. (A) Fixation sutures were located 1.0-1.5 mm apart from the limbus at 2 o’clock and 8 o’clock, and buried under the conjunctiva. (B) The red circle indicates the ciliary sulcus where haptics should be located. Before fixation, capsule or lens remnants were fully removed by vitreous cutter or forceps under the scleral indentation. The red line indicates the thread that penetrated the scleral and fixed the intraocular lens haptic to the ciliary sulcus.
