Fig. 2. Anatomical changes in the macular hole (MH) after surgery using the superior inverted internal limiting membrane flap technique in a 65-year-old woman (axial length = 23.42 mm). (A) Preoperative fundus photograph and spectral-domain optical coherence tomography show the MH, which had a base diameter of 892 μm. (B) At two years after surgery, the MH had recovered well and the measured central foveal thickness was 256 μm. Also, the best-corrected visual acuity (logMAR) had improved from 0.52 to 0.10.
